[en] Evening of Folklore - Saint Anthony Protect our Vrila , Dobrič, Široki Brijeg
The Folklore Festival titled "Saint Anthony Protect our Vrila" , is held in the beginning of June in Dobrič, city of Široki Brijeg, organized by HKD Vrila and partners. The festival, which was held on 8th June 2019, featured performances by:
- HKD Vrila Široki Brijeg,
- HKD Mokro iz Širokog Brijega,
- HKUD Herceg Stjepan Buna iz Mostara,
- KUD Srce Zagore iz Kaštela iz Hrvatske,
- vokalna etno skupine Sinovi Hercegovine iz Širokog Brijega i
- diplar Stole Damjanović iz Biograca iz Širokog Brijega.
The area of Dobrič and other villages of Župa Mostarski Gradac is rich in cultural, historical and natural heritage, including a large number of gradines, hills, walls, "stećak" (type of monumental medieval tombstone), springs, old wells, the old "Roman" bridge, Baćina canyon, hiking trails and viewpoints Kapina, herds of horses, small endemic fish “prikanaci” and many other features. In the immediate vicinity, at the location of Varda in Knešpolje village, there is also a large necropolis of "stećak" and remains of a medieval church.
